PREPARE TO GLOW

Here’s how to prepare for the conference so you can make the most of your experience as an attendee. Professional relationships are the foundation of successful global collaborations, and we hope this event will provide you with new connections.

  1. Register for the conference and fill out your profile on the Hopin platform where the conference will take place.
  2. If you are on a mobile device, try Hopin’s app for navigating GLOW. It is available on Apple’s app store and Google Play.
  3. Visit the conference website and browse the schedule located in the reception area. You can bookmark sessions that interest you and start building your own agenda.
  4. Remember, all sessions will be recorded, but our presenters would appreciate live audiences. Attend as your schedule allows.
  5. Follow our speakers and partners on Twitter to get a sense of their work.
  6. Our primary community is Actionable Innovations Global. You can join this professional learning space (free) if you are not already a member. This is where networking can continue beyond the GLOW conference.
  7. We still need volunteer moderators for GLOW. Sign up if you are interested!
  8. Join @GlobalEdAction, @DigitalPromise, and @MegGlobalEd on Twitter on Wednesday, November 16th at 7 PM CST (UTC-6) for a special Twitterchat from #globaledchat. We’ll discuss the forthcoming conference, and all presenters are invited to share a preview of their sessions. The first part is a text-based chat on professional development for global education, and the second part will be a live audio chat led by Meg’s Lottie Dowling about the GLOW conference in Twitter Spaces.
