Post-Pandemic Personal and Professional Progress

Forgive me for not writing for a long time here on Medium. I used to have plenty of material and ideas to share with my online community, but the past few years have been full of change and distraction. Here’s an update from this 2018 post.

I have loved my professional journey and am grateful for the opportunities and adventures it has afforded me. I’ve met and worked with amazing educators who continue to inspire me. My professional learning network encompasses people who reflect my evolving professional interests, which include educational technology, global education, accessibility, digital equity, and more.

In 2018, I was given an opportunity to return to working in a school. It seemed ideal: a small private school with a 1:1 iPad program, a dedicated faculty, eager students, and an administration that seemed excited to innovate. This was a perfect situation for applying what I had learned in my years of educational consulting work. I learned to listen and think about where I could fit in to make a difference. I took my time figuring out the best approaches for supporting faculty and students, partially because other priorities were more important at the school.
