This weekend marked the Great Lakes ADE Meet-Up, and I had the privilege of gathering with fellow Apple Distinguished Educators to explore the latest innovations from Apple. We dove into iOS 18, powerful new Sequoia features, and the advancements in Apple Intelligence.

We also discussed which devices can activate Apple Intelligence, and at home, I discovered a way to get early access by joining Apple’s public beta program. If you’re curious, here’s how to explore these cutting-edge features: Learn more about the public beta. It sounds like 18.2 is coming down the pike in the next few weeks.

One highlight for me was experimenting with Math Notes — a fantastic new feature in the Notes and Calculator apps. It’s a game-changer for educators and students alike! Check out info about this here and here. The new iPad Calculator app is impressive and does some incredible conversions.

We explored more Apple Intelligence features in iOS and MacOS, including adding audio recordings in Notes that are instantly transcribed — a powerful tool for accessibility and learning. I also used the Clean Up feature in the Photos app to erase the name of a building in the background of this photo. :)
